The company is a steel fabrication company primarily serving the steel industry in Northwest Indiana. Focus has been on heavy metal fabrication required in providing new, modified, and repaired equipment, which is used in all areas of the steel making processes and includes a complete line of wear products. The Company was founded in 1983 with the current owner as President and General Manager holding a minority position. In 1993, the current owner purchased 100% of the Company stock.







Products & Services:



The company provides diversified products and services to meet the needs of its customers in the steel industries as well as other heavy industries including







Fabrication/Burning – uses oxy-fuel and plasma torches to shape burn steel plates up to 10” thick, with modern CNC burning controls for nesting and cutting.







Fabrication/Forming – uses a 1000 ton press brake, a 400 ton press brake, and a 1 -1/2” x 12’ plate roll to form mild steel, stainless steel, and wear plate to serve its customers.







Equipment Repair and Machining – Equipment repair service includes complete disassembly, cleaning and degreasing of all parts, inspection of parts for excessive wear and damage, and the replacement of all worn parts prior to re-assembly. The Company can also manufacture parts as needed in completing fabrications and assemblies. This includes new parts such as pins, bushings, axles, and machined flanges. Refax can also modify existing parts to suit conditions.
